Dr. Ehsanur Rahman joined Cardiology Physicians, P.A. in May of 2007. He began his medical studies in Bangladesh. After his graduation in 1972, he started his residency in Internal Medicine at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan. His cardiology fellowship began in 1976 at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Miami, Florida. Dr. Rahman is certified in Internal Medicine and Critical Care Medicine, as well as Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a Member of the American Medical Association.
Dr. Rahman specializes in both consultative and interventional cardiology and has been practicing for over 34 years. His clinical practice includes consultative cardiology, diagnostic catheterization and interventional coronary procedures, such as, stent placement. In addition, he is trained in echocardiography.
Dr. Rahman served as Associate Chief of Cardiology as well as Associate Program Director for the Cardiology Fellowship at Christiana Care Health System. He has been voted “Teacher of the Year” numerous times by the Internal Medicine Residency Program and Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Program. In years past, Dr. Rahman served both as the Governor of the Delaware Chapter of the American College of Cardiology as well as the Governor of the Delaware Affiliate of the American Heart Association.
Dr. Rahman is married with two children. He dedicates his spare time to a primary care clinic operating as a charity in Bangladesh and owned by a group of physicians. Dr. Rahman also enjoys gardening.
